The Tango Festival will aim to provide an International meeting place for tango lovers of every level from throughout the world where by each and everyone will have a chance to meet with other tango lovers from different part of the world, to participate in the workshops or lessons, to enjoy the spectacular performances of the Argentinean Tango Masters, as well as enjoying Bali to the full.
The ultimate aim is to juxtapose the two beautiful cultures, Indonesian and Argentinean, each enhancing the charisma of the other country. This year, 10th Tango in Paradise, as a theme, we choose a traditional dance “Kecak” and fabric with traditional Bali.
Traditional dancer from Bali – will collaborate with the tango dancers at the festival. We know it is a difficult task for them, but nevertheless we would like to give the collaboration a chance. This year we invite world name Tango Masters Leandro Oliver (Argentina) and Juan Cupini y Virginia Vasconi (Argentina), to conduct the lessons and to perform together with Javier Rodriguez y Moira Castellano (Argentina), Leandro Palou y Maria Tsiatsiani (Argentina), Johana Copes (Argentina) – the judges of The Indonesia Championship Prelimenaries. They will collaborate with Balinese dancers in the Gala Show directed by David Alejandro Palo (Argentina). We are pretty sure they will produce magical dance pieces between them.
The famous International Tango DJ – Dani Vilarino (Argentina), Odeyssus Dada (South Korea) and Randa Pramasha Chrisye (Indonesia) will spin the music to companying the tango lovers in expressing their desire on the dance floor. The guest dancers – Alejandro y Lucia (Argentina – Japan), Anthony Miller y Jacqueline Simpson (Australia), Pali y Marcelo Delgado (Thailand – Argentina), Miguel Angel y Yanela Olivera (Argentina), Luis Squichchiarini y Evgenia Samoilova (Russia), Emanuel y Midori (Argentina) and Marcky De Guzman y Luz Ocampo (Phillipines) and Doreen Kantika (Indonesia).
